Determining Patch Level

I think at least one simmer out of a billion wouldn’t know this. This is quite essential to know. Simply saying to install mods and maybe CC you gotta know the level in which your game is upto date with. To find this out follow these instructions :

Find and open your sims 3 Launcher (usually this is located in the desktop) or go to your Sims 3 directory, (not the saves!) Game>Bin>The Sims 3

And the launcher will open.

See the big red box? move your cursor over it, and a number will appear in another box. That number is your Patch level. And the version ladies and gentlemen is that 12.o thingy.

It’s important to keep your game updated as with the patches it resolves various issues with the Sims 3 games, that’s why many websites and posts tell you to update your games first! even that launcher tells you that right? 😛

For a full list of patches click here.

To manually download, determine the patch number you want. For example: if you want  1.55 patch search google for download links.

If you hate manually downloading patches, you can try the futuristic way with this handy software. Made by Mod the sims. (This is not the EA Download Manager)
